Master Collection CS4 installation...

Hi. Im having trouble installing ''Creative Suite Mater Collection CS4''. The Suite package is not (have never been) installed on this computer. I did, however install the package on another computer a while ago, which I used for +/- 3 months.?That computer is not working anymore, so I need to install it on this one.

I get the following error when I click on setup.exe after inserting CD1 of the collection pack.

:: Message Box: Checking System Profiles

:: Message Box: System Error

:: Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for Assistance

I have already tried the following:

1. Copied the CD`s to the hard drive as instructed by Adobe (received same error messages)

2. Started windows XP (Service Pack 2) in Safe Mode (received same error messages)

3. Disabled, anti-virus and windows firewall (received same error messages)

Are there anybody that encountered such a problem, and resolved it?

I resolved the problem myself, by going to the control panel, clicking on Administrative Tools, event Viewer. I checked the applications log of event viewer, and found a message: Drive F is invalid

Drive F was a mapped network drive (offline).?It seems that the Master Collection CS4 package, gives errors if a offline, mapped network drive is found during installation. I removed the mapped network drive and changed another parition`s drive letter to F.?The package can now proceed with the installation.

Hope this resolves other people`s problems in the future.

I am having the same problem except it's on iMacs. the only way to make it work is to copy all files on to the local hard drive and install it from there.

I also tried to put all files on to a external hard drive and connect it to the iMac.I got same error messge.

Can anyone help with this issue? TIA,
