I have finally upgraded to CS4 and everytime I open a site I created in MX 2004 I'm asked to re-insert the SWF files because of a possible problem with the latest versions of IE. Is this true or can I just somehow stop this message? I update lots of websites and this is annoying!
Thanks for your help,
Sara
Why do I have to insert SWF again?Dreamweaver shouldn't be asking you to re-insert a SWF because of IE.聽 Are you being asked this even after updating as DW suggests or just the first time you open the site?
If it is only the first time you open the site I think it is because the code to insert Flash has changed since MX2004 (regardless of IE) and Dreamweaver just wants to make sure that your code continues to function.聽 But if it continues to happen even after accepting the changes, you may need to call Adobe support because I have not heard of this happening.

I'm on a Mac so maybe it's different. I am not getting any of the messages that the the techsheet mentioned asking me to save or accept the changes.
I just opened a file and did not do as asked about re-inserting all SWF files and saved it a a #2 - uploaded it and all looks fine BUT when I open it again I get the same popup telling me to re-insert all SWF files!
Any other suggestions? Maybe I'll just have to call Dreamweaver - upg.
Thanks!
And on the other side, what happens if you say yes?聽 :-)聽聽 I believe (and I stand to be corrected here),聽 that you will get a newly created folder inside the folder structure as I explained earlier that needs to be uploaded....
As per this technote:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f 693f21-7ca6a.html
''.Dreamweaver informs you that two dependent files, expressInstall.swf and swfobject_modified.js, are being saved to a Scripts folder in your site. Don鈥檛 forget to upload these files when you upload the SWF file to your web server. Browsers can鈥檛 display the SWF file properly unless you have also uploaded these dependent files.''
I'm not getting ANY of the questions shown in the Techsheet. It just says I have to re-insert the SWF files. There is nothing asked to agree to - no files created...
